Welcome to the Ultimate Outdoors Radio RESORTS AND LODGES PAGE!

Traveling in the outdoor world at the speed of light allows the Ultimate Outdoors Crew and staff to lay their heads on many pillows (or rocks).  Spend some time reading our reviews as we travel the world…hunting, camping, fishing, boating, kayaking, site-seeing and lying on a sunny beach enjoying a cold beverage.

These lodges and resorts are friends and sponsors of Ultimate Outdoors Radio and make this all possible.  They will treat you right!  We promise and they promise.

185South Seas Island Resort, Captiva Island, Florida

We spent five wonderful days at the South Seas Island Resort on Captiva Island, Florida.  It is beautiful and there is never a lack for anything to do.   The resort offers many activities including activities for children.    This resort is huge.  It includes a 330 acre wildlife preserve and includes 2.5 miles of beaches full of shells to collect.  There is a beautiful golf course and a marina on the complex.  There are fishing guides available, too.   The pool is a real highlight and is located on the shore of Pine Island Sound while enjoying the boats and the pelicans while sipping on your pina colada from the Tiki Bar.

We must recommend a nearby restaurant – THE KEY LIME BISTRO – we never had a bad meal there and the key lime pie is to die for.

In January of 2013 my husband I were lucky enough to spend two day and nights at the Tarpon Lodge on Pine Island, Florida.  The historic buildings and spacious grounds took my breath away, I felt like I was in heaven and the feeling lasted during our entire stay.  I still remember that feeling when I look at my photos of our stay there.
