The ‘Big Rivers Initiative’ with Ducks Ulimited
Mark Flaspohler, Manager of Conservation Projects for Ducks Unlimited, will be meeting with us the entire show to talk about the Ducks Unlimited Big Rivers Initiative. The focus of this DU project is in the heart of the Mississippi River and its major tributaries, to restore, enhance and protect the wetlands used by millions of waterfowl as they migrate between wintering and breeding grounds each year. Hydrologic modification associated with intense agricultural, industrial and urban development throughout the region has resulted in substantial wetland loss and degradation. Maybe we can help!
