Wisconsin open water & ice fishing – Winnebago chain and the Madison Chain

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA                Meet Jim Kasuda (Mendota Jim)

Jim Kusuda “Mendota Jim” from Madison, WI works the Yahara chain of lakes: Mendota,  Monona,  Waubesa and Kegonsa.  Perch fishing is his passion when they are found in clear ice water over 60 feet deep, but it is hard to ignore the awesome bluegill fishing that this area offers.  Last January he iced one that was well over one pound two ounces.  He was fishing in an area where under ice springs were bubbling.    Let’s see if Jim will give up his secrets for us.
