sauk ctyMeet Dr. John Attig, from Wisconsin Geological and Natural History,  a UW Extension professor and affiliated faculty member at UW-Madison,  will talk to us about the history of the landscape & wildlife in Southern Wisconsin.  Dr. Attig specialized in the evolution of landscapes and has studied the timing of the last glaciation (from 10,000 to 30,000 years ago).    He is an author as well and co-wrote “Roadside Geology of Wisconsin” , a guidebook for non-geologists that identifies and explains the geological evolution of locations that are accessible from state highways.
